Americans of All Backgrounds Reject Biden’s Extreme Pro-Abortion Agenda

Washington, D.C. – A Louisiana law protecting unborn children and their mothers throughout pregnancy can take effect after a state district judge lifted an injunction against the law today. Legislation strengthening Louisiana’s existing protections passed the legislature with bipartisan support and was signed by Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards earlier this year.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America celebrated in a statement:

“The abortion lobby thought they could run to the courts to silence the people and their elected lawmakers, but the will of Louisianans prevailed today and thousands of lives can be saved,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “In Louisiana, Democrats and Republicans have worked together to protect unborn children and their mothers throughout pregnancy, in stark contrast to President Biden and other extremists in his party who will stop at nothing to impose abortion on demand until birth – a radical agenda Americans of all backgrounds reject. In the Dobbs era, the people can finally speak through the democratic process and have their consensus reflected in the law. We thank all our allies in Louisiana and nationwide who are fighting tirelessly to ensure their voice is heard.”

Since the Dobbs decision, at least a dozen states have taken action to protect life. SBA Pro-Life America has launched an interactive map to track life-saving laws in the states and the estimated number of abortions impacted.

President Biden is taking executive action in support of abortion on demand until the moment of birth, after the historic Dobbs decision gave the people the right to find consensus on abortion policy through their elected representatives. A new poll conducted post-Dobbs found that only 10% of voters nationwide support the Democrats’ position of abortion on demand until birth.

Alternatives to Abortion: Louisiana’s “Women’s Right to Know Law” ensures that women are informed that the father of the baby is liable for child support if a woman chooses not to have an abortion, that there are state agencies that can assist women during and after pregnancy, and that adoptive parents often pay the medical costs associated with carrying a child to term.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is a network of more than one million pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
