Press Call at 11:00 am to Support Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced they will host a press conference call on Tuesday, June 18 at 11:00 am ET to expose the scourge of late-term abortion and push for the passage of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 1797) to be considered by the House.
“Dr. Kermit Gosnell murdered babies by delivering them alive during abortions and then snipping their necks. Congress must be clear that this will not be tolerated, inside or outside the womb, and the American people agree,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of the SBA List. “Late-term abortion or abortionists willing to perform them are not rare. According to a Guttmacher study at least 15,600 abortions past 20 weeks were performed in 2005, and another showed 140 abortionists willing to perform abortions at or beyond this point. It’s simple: children capable of experiencing unimaginable pain from abortion must be protected across the country. This pro-woman, pro-science, Constitutional piece of legislation deserves quick passage, followed by a vote in the U.S. Senate.”
