Premier Pro-Life Field Program on Track to Make 500,000 Visits to Voters Across Hawkeye State in Midterms, With Eye Toward 2028
Des Moines, Iowa – Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America’s Vice President of Government Affairs Marilyn Musgrave, a former member of Congress, will speak at the FAMiLY Leadership Summit on Friday to address pro-life victories in Iowa, as well as threats to life after Dobbs and the case for national protections for unborn children and their mothers—ongoing themes raised at the state’s pre-eminent annual gathering for conservative and faith-based activists.
In addition to Musgrave, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Gov. Kim Reynolds (R-IA), Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA), GOP gubernatorial nominee Zach Lahn, OB-GYN Dr. Bill Lile, and historian David Barton will speak at the event.
Earlier this year Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and its partner Women Speak Out PAC announced details of a $3.2 million plan to visit 500,000 Hawkeye State voters at their homes by Election Day to elect pro-life leaders in Iowa. The groups will be engaged in U.S. Senate and House races as well as the race for governor.
SBA Pro-Life America Candidate Fund has endorsed Ashley Hinson for U.S. Senate and Mariannette Miller-Meeks for re-election to Congress.
“I’m excited to be back in Iowa amid our most ambitious pro-life campaign yet to keep Iowa in pro-life hands in 2026,” said Musgrave. “Our passionate canvassers have been traversing the Hawkeye State for months and are well on their way to half a million visits to voters right at their homes by Election Day. Ahead of some of the country’s most competitive races, they are meeting people where they are, having transformative conversations about the need to defeat pro-abortion extremism and elect champions who will boldly stand for innocent life—not only here in Iowa but also nationwide. Iowans have achieved major victories such as heartbeat protections in the law, safeguards against illegal mail-order abortion drugs, and the closing of all but one Planned Parenthood abortion business in the state. Yet without national leadership and action, it could all be swept away.
“Iowa is not only important for 2026 but will soon again play a key role in determining the next leader of the GOP in 2028 with its famed caucuses. With abortions going up in the wake of Roe’s reversal because of the mail-order abortion drug regime, we have much more work to be done. Iowa will be at the forefront in ensuring the next leader of the GOP will fight for the unborn and their moms at the national level.
“We are so grateful for our partnership with Bob Vander Plaats and The FAMiLY LEADER, who deeply ‘get’ the importance of the life issue in elections and know better than anyone that what happens in Iowa has a national impact for years to come.”
SBA Pro-Life America has the largest grassroots pro-life voter contact program in the country. In the six election cycles since 2014, the program has reached 31 million voters across the top battleground states. The Iowa campaign is part of an overall $80 million investment for the 2026 midterm cycle to reach 10.5 million voters nationally in the nation’s most competitive House, Senate, and gubernatorial battlegrounds.
Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is a network of more than one million pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
