Washington, D.C.Today Susan B. Anthony List’s Candidate Fund PAC announced its endorsement of U.S. Representative Lisa McClain (R) for re-election in Michigan’s 9th Congressional District. The group’s vice president of government affairs, Hon. Marilyn Musgrave, will join McClain for a private event in Michigan today.

“We are proud to endorse a fearless pro-life champion, Congresswoman Lisa McClain for re-election,” said Musgrave. “Rep. McClain boldly proclaims her pro-life values. In her first term she immediately got to work fighting to end taxpayer funding of abortion and stop exploitation of aborted children in the name of ‘research,’ and is a passionate speaker on the House floor. With a mom’s fierce compassion, she calls out the radical Biden-Pelosi agenda in Washington and stands in stark contrast to Governor Whitmer’s pro-abortion extremism back home. We greatly look forward to Rep. McClain’s victory and continued advocacy for Michiganders, born and unborn.”

McClain was first elected in 2020 and was part of the largest class of pro-life congresswomen in history. In her first term, she introduced the SAFE Research Act to stop government-supported experiments using the bodies of aborted babies and co-sponsored the Support and Value Expectant Moms and Babies Act, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act, and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, earning an A+ on SBA List’s National Pro-Life Scorecard. She is also a signer of the congressional amicus brief supporting Mississippi in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

McClain grew up in Stockbridge, Michigan and was a successful business leader of more than 30 years before serving in elected office. She and her husband Mike have four children and live in Macomb County.

SBA List is a network of 900,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
