Planned Parenthood’s Do-Anything Candidate Sherrod Brown Seeks to Return to Power
Ohio voters rejected former Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in 2024, choosing pro-life Republican Jon Husted instead. Now Brown—the abortion lobby’s reliable ally—is central to Democrats’ bid to seize the U.S. Senate majority.
In office, Brown repeatedly proved his loyalty to Planned Parenthood. He earned a 100% rating from Planned Parenthood Action, voted against protections for babies born alive after botched abortions, and pushed taxpayer-funded abortion at every opportunity. Now the abortion lobby is paying him back: radical pro-abortion groups and donors, including a notorious late-term abortionist, are funding his campaign against Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH) in November 2026.
What’s at Stake in November

Democrats need only flip four seats to gain a Senate majority. While Brown’s radical abortion positions are out of step with Americans and Ohioans, they have become disturbingly ubiquitous among elected Democrats.
House Democrats have released a “first 100 hours” agenda that includes legalizing all-trimester abortion in every state (the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act, backed unanimously by Senate Democrats), and eliminating the Hyde Amendment to force taxpayers everywhere to fund elective abortions of healthy babies who feel pain.
Brown’s 100% Record Against Unborn Babies
Planned Parenthood Action, which has endorsed Brown for U.S. Senate, currently touts his 100% rating from 2018-2024, highlighting that Brown has never failed to jump up and push abortion when asked. Planned Parenthood Action touts that Brown took the following actions:
Abortionists and the Abortion Lobby Firmly Back Brown
Brown has been endorsed by radical groups such as Planned Parenthood Action and Reproductive Freedom for All. Planned Parenthood Action repeatedly gave Brown a 100% rating, and Reproductive Freedom for All has touted his support for radical legislation allowing abortion up to birth and even mandating taxpayer funded abortion.
And he currently enjoys massive financial support from the abortion lobby. An Aug. 24 report from the Daily Signal revealed Brown’s financial supporters include one of America’s most notorious late-term abortionists, Planned Parenthood, and a billionaire “abortion doula” whose stated “life goal” is to “aid and abet people getting abortions.”
All told, pro-abortion donors have contributed more than six figures to Brown’s campaign for U.S. Senate. This total includes more than $3,000 from retired Colorado abortionist Warren Hern, who once estimated that at least half of the late-term abortions he committed in his decades-long career were of healthy babies with healthy mothers. Hern has openly stated his belief that every pregnancy is a “medical problem” justifying any abortion. In a profile piece by The Atlantic, he even admitted carrying out late-term abortions based solely on whether the child was a boy or girl.
