Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of Carla Nelson for U.S. House of Representatives in Minnesota’s first congressional district.
“We are pleased to endorse Carla Nelson, a principled leader with a solid pro-life voting record,” said former U.S. Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Carla has been a dedicated and passionate public servant for years, starting as a teacher and then as an advocate for families and children in Minnesota’s legislature. She has the experience and the proven leadership to stand up for the innocent unborn and their mothers in Washington.”
Carla Nelson accepted the endorsement saying:
“I am humbled to receive Susan B. Anthony List’s endorsement. As a teacher, I was trusted to nurture and protect some of Minnesota’s youngest citizens. Political elites have failed our families by allowing precious lives to be discarded at will. I am committed to defending the most vulnerable and will fight to give our children – born and unborn – their future back.”
Nelson is a small business owner and former teacher. She served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003-2005 and in 2010 was elected to the state Senate, where she has served as Assistant Minority Leader.
Susan B.
