SBA List Candidate Fund Endorses Felicia Harris in TX-14

Washington, DC ─ Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Felicia Harris in Texas’ 14th Congressional District. Congressman Ron Paul, who has held the seat since 1997, is retiring.

“Active in her community as a successful lawyer, civic volunteer, and Pearland City Councilwoman, Felicia understands that protecting the unborn and strengthening women in leadership are not only compatible choices but complementary and essential roles,” said Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “The well-being of women, families, communities and the nation is enhanced by ending the false dichotomy that says women, unlike men, must make a fatal choice between their children and their achievements.

“Women are ideal advocates for unborn children and women in the halls of Congress. If elected, Felicia has pledged to work towards building a culture of Life by ending taxpayer funding for abortion. We look forward to adding Felicia to the growing ranks of the House Pro-life Women’s Caucus after November.”

Felicia Harris graduated with a J.D. from South Texas College of Law and went to work for Chief Justice John Hill before becoming a commercial lawyer. She has been endorsed by VIEW PAC (Value In Electing Women) and is “On the Radar” for the NRCC Young Guns program. Harris has also been endorsed by pro-life Texas Congressmen Pete Olson (TX-22), Bill Flores (TX-17), and Ted Poe (TX-02).

On July 31, Harris will face State Representative Randy Weber in a runoff election for the Republican nomination. The winner will face former Democratic Congressman Nick Lampson in the general election.

The Susan B. Anthony List, and its connected Political Action Committee, the SBA List Candidate Fund, are dedicated to electing candidates and pursuing policies that will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List will emphasize the election, education, promotion, and mobilization of pro-life women. The SBA List is a network of more than 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
