Washington, DC ─ Today, the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Kevin Cramer for North Dakota’s At-Large Congressional District. He will face Pam Gulleson in November.
“A longtime pro-life advocate, Kevin understands the value of every human life and is committed to protecting the unborn and their mothers,” said Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Kevin’s opponent Pam Gulleson, however, has repeatedly failed to protect Life while serving as a North Dakota state representative. North Dakota women and families deserve a committed pro-life leader which is why the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse Kevin Cramer in this race.”
For the past two decades, Kevin Cramer has served as North Dakota GOP Chairman, Tourism Director, Economic Development Director and Public Service Commissioner. Cramer was endorsed by North Dakota Right to Life during his successful 2004 and 2010 campaigns for Public Service Commissioner. Crammer earned the status of “Young Gun” by the NRCC and also has the endorsements of National Right to Life, North Dakota Right to Life, Eagle Forum, Club for Growth, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
As a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives, Pam Gulleson voted against laws to ban abortion and stop taxpayer dollars from being used for prenatal testing. An October 8 Mason-Dixon poll showed Cramer leading Gulleson 49 percent to 37 percent.
During the 2010 election cycle, SBA List spent $11 million and was involved in 90 races, 62 of which resulted in victories. Successes included: defeating 15 of 20 so-called “pro-life” Democrats who voted for abortion funding in the health care reform bill, increasing the number of pro-life women in the House by 70 percent, filling the void of pro-life women in the U.S. Senate, and increasing the number of pro-life women governors from one to four.
The Susan B. Anthony List, and its affiliated Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, are dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates that will reduce and ultimately end abortion.
