WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Ann Clemmer for U.S. Congress.
“Ann Clemmer has an exceptional record of service to Arkansas women and families and we are thrilled to endorse her candidacy,” said SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “As a wife, mother, college professor, and state legislator, Ann understands better than most that protecting the most vulnerable and building up women as leaders are not only compatible choices, but essential to the well-being of our society.
“As an Arkansas state representative, Ann was the lead sponsor of historic legislation to protect babies beginning at 12 weeks. She has already led the charge to protect women and unborn children and we look forward to having her courageous voice added to the Pro-life Women’s Caucus in Washington.”
Ann Clemmer is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is the former president of the Arkansas Political Science Association. She was elected to the Arkansas House in 2008.
Clemmer will face off with other Republican primary candidates on May 20.
