Washington, D.C. – Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Representative Ann Wagner for re-election in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District.
“Congresswoman Ann Wagner is passionately pro-life and fearless in standing up to the abortion lobby,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Ann has led the charge on at least half a dozen major pro-life bills, including popular legislation to protect unborn children from late-term abortions after five months of pregnancy, and has worked tirelessly to stop taxpayer funding of abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood. Her opponent is an extremist backed by the radical pro-abortion group NARAL and is dramatically out of step with Missouri values. SBA List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse Congresswoman Wagner’s re-election bid. We encourage pro-life Missourians to support her and look forward to her victory in November.”
Rep. Ann Wagner has served Missouri’s 2nd District in Congress since 2013. She is the lead sponsor of the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA) of 2017 and a co-sponsor of the Conscience Protection Act, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, the Dismemberment Abortion Ban Act, the Defund Planned Parenthood Act, and the Pregnancy Discrimination Amendment Act.
Wagner’s career spans over 30 years in the private sector, community and public service, and politics. She served as U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg from 2005 to 2009. Previously she was chair of the Missouri Republican Party for six years and co-chair of the Republican National Committee for four years. She and her husband Ray have three children and one granddaughter. They reside in Ballwin, Missouri.
