Pro-life Field Team Has Visited 220,000+ Missouri Voters
Washington, D.C. – Women Speak Out PAC, a partner of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List, today announced a six-figure independent expenditure campaign to mobilize pro-life voters across Missouri to support Josh Hawley for U.S. Senate.
The campaign backs up SBA List’s existing ground efforts and will include digital ads to educate voters about the extreme pro-abortion record of Hawley’s opponent, Senator Claire McCaskill. SBA List’s pro-life canvassers have visited the homes of more than two million voters across seven battleground states ahead of Election Day 2018 – more than 220,000 in Missouri alone.
Newly-released undercover video shows Senator McCaskill’s campaign staff explaining how donations from Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion business, are funneled through other organizations to preserve McCaskill’s “moderate” image.
“Senator Claire McCaskill presents herself as a moderate, but even she knows her support for abortion on demand through birth is dramatically out of step with Missouri values,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “McCaskill has repeatedly betrayed her constituents on important pro-life votes, such as voting to send tax dollars to abortion giant Planned Parenthood. Missourians deserve better – that’s why SBA List’s field team has spent months on the ground in Missouri talking to more than 220,000 pro-life voters who do not consistently vote in midterm elections and will continue to educate them about McCaskill’s extreme record through Election Day. McCaskill is greatly mistaken if she thinks she can play voters for fools, and she will be held accountable.”
54 percent of Missouri voters oppose taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood and 57 percent say they would be less likely to vote for Senator McCaskill if they learned she voted to give taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood instead of comprehensive healthcare providers.
Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, visiting more than 1.1 million homes in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. SBA List is a network of more than 690,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
