Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of Rebecca Kleefisch for governor of Wisconsin. Incumbent Governor Tony Evers claims laws protecting unborn children and mothers render women “second-class citizens.”
“Our longtime friend Rebecca Kleefisch is a tried-and-true champion of life and will make an outstanding governor,” said SBA Pro-Life America’s president, Marjorie Dannenfelser. “During her time in the , she helped stop the funneling of taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood and oversaw the passage of numerous pro-life laws. Wisconsin is in desperate need of new leadership as Tony Evers competes to be the most radical pro-abortion governor in America. In an era when the people have the right to protect and serve unborn children and their mothers, Governor Evers has doubled down hard on abortion on demand, even cruel late-term abortions up to the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers – a radical position Wisconsinites reject.
“Our ground team is hard at work visiting Wisconsin voters to expose the contrast between extremists like Evers and pro-life, pro-woman leaders like Rebecca. We urge all voters who want to bring compassion and common sense back to the governor’s office to support her on August 9.”
Kleefisch served as Wisconsin’s lieutenant governor from 2010-2018. She was previously a reporter and news anchor with WISN-TV before founding her own communications consulting firm. She is the recipient of SBA Pro-Life America’s 2013 Distinguished Leader Award. Kleefisch and her husband Joel have two daughters.
