Voters Reject Harris’& Tester’s National All-Trimester Abortion Mandate

Helena, Mont. – Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America celebrated as pro-life Republican Tim Sheehy defeated incumbent Democrat Sen. Jon Tester after almost two decades in Washington, D.C. SBA Pro-Life America Candidate Fund endorsed Sheehy in January.

This election cycle, SBA Pro-Life America and its affiliated entities raised and spent $92 million to protect life across America. Overall, the groups’ largest ever voter contact program reached more than 10 million persuadable and low-turnout voters across eight key battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Pro-life canvassers with SBA Pro-Life America and its partner Women Speak Out PAC made more than four million visits to voters’ homes over the course of the cycle to support Senate candidates like Sheehy and defeat pro-abortion Democrats.

Efforts in Montana included:

• 114,584 visits to targeted voters by canvassers
• 6,873 man-hours spent reaching targeted voters by 82 canvassers
• 85,500 persuadable voters reached through digital ads (Kamala Harris Goes Too Far, Moms Need More Resources, Not More Abortions, & Jon Tester Goes Too Far)
• 373,188 voter mail pieces sent
• 1,339,960 voter texts sent

“We congratulate Senator-elect Tim Sheehy and look forward to working together to protect children before birth and help moms reach the root causes of abortion with life-affirming solutions. Though Jon Tester tried to distance himself from the ‘Shout Your Abortion’ candidate Kamala Harris, he couldn’t run away from his record of voting for a national all-trimester abortion mandate,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Montanans aren’t on board with the Harris-Tester agenda of painful late-term abortions of healthy babies with healthy moms, up through the seventh, eighth or ninth month with no limits. By contrast, GOP candidates like Sheehy support commonsense limits and real options for moms in need. Sheehy didn’t run from the abortion issue, he went on offense and called his opponent out.

“Our team is proud to have made over 114,000 visits this cycle to Montana voters’ homes – part of our largest-ever effort to visit 4 million homes and reach 10 million voters overall – to defeat pro-abortion Democrats and support Tim Sheehy.”
