Abortion Over Everything: 3 Reasons Why Angie Nixon is Too Extreme for Florida

Florida House Rep. Angie Nixon and her Democratic colleagues have a dark history of undermining the humanity of the unborn – from pushing abortion on demand through all nine months to shutting down education on human development in the womb.

Nixon, a member of Democratic Socialists of America who supports abortion up to birth, has an appalling pro-abortion record. Nixon has repeatedly voted against key protections for the unborn, spoken in favor of unrestricted abortion and even tried to silence an effort to educate Florida students on the humanity and development of babies in the womb.

Here are three reasons why Nixon is far too extreme for Florida:

1Fetal Development Curriculum and Nixon’s History of Dehumanizing the Unborn

Efforts by Angie Nixon and other Democrats to shut down a fetal development curriculum bill were egregious enough to outrage their Democratic colleague, Rep. Kimberly Daniels (D-FL). After hearing aggressive criticism of a requirement to show an ultrasound video and other content about human development to students, Daniels said, “I would like to ask this question to the opponents of this bill, is there any video—that would be good enough? Because I’m not pro-life, I’m not pro-choice, I’m not part of a group. But I believe in just sitting here and being fair about it, what looks like to me, is that I believe there is fear in this room. And this fear, is that our children will see that a pregnancy is not just a lump of clay, but a whole real live baby. And ultrasounds don’t lie. Ultrasounds don’t lie when we get other medical treatments.”

Notably, Nixon has called the idea of unborn babies being treated as persons as “devastating.”

2Nixon’s Unconditional Support of Radical Pro-Abortion Initiatives and Laws

Notably, Nixon’s Florida House record includes a relentless campaign of dehumanizing the children in the womb.

Florida House record

Rep. Angie Nixon

01

Abortion up to birth

Proposed and supported

Nixon pursued abortion up to birth repeatedly, from proposing a bill to legalize all abortions to supporting a ballot initiative wiping out protections for babies and moms. Now she could be the deciding vote to bring abortion up to birth to the nation, as elected Democrats nearly unanimously support.

02

Protecting babies from eugenic abortions

Voted against

The DSA member’s abortion activism extends to voting against protecting babies from eugenic abortions, allowing babies with Down syndrome and other conditions to be killed specifically for their disabilities.

3Nixon’s Dangerous Rhetoric

Nixon also has publicly encouraged reckless leftists to mail dangerous abortion drugs to her state. The Florida representative spreads fear to Florida mothers, particularly black women, by referring to pregnancy as a “death sentence,” as she pushes to enable abortionists to kill the unborn. Due to this heinous record, Nixon enjoys the backing of extreme pro-abortion groups such as Reproductive Freedom for All and Planned Parenthood Action against Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL).

Lives are at Stake this November. Every Vote Matters.

Floridians do not need a socialist senator with the backing of the abortion lobby. Nixon’s support for abortion up to birth and apparent contempt for the humanity and personhood of the unborn is wildly out of step with Florida voters and should be rejected in November.
