Tudor Dixon Calls Out Whitmer & the Dems’ Pro-Abortion Extremism
Washington, D.C. – Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America today slammed Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer for refusing to condemn pro-abortion violence and for promoting abortion on demand as an economic strategy to “poach” business from states with protective pro-life laws. “I want to walk into Indiana and Ohio and eat their lunch,” Whitmer reportedly told the Detroit Free Press.
SBA Pro-Life America’s Candidate Fund has endorsed Tudor Dixon in the governor’s race.
“Democrats’ vilification of pregnancy centers and pro-life Americans is fueling terrorist attacks, yet Governor Whitmer and other pro-abortion Democrats are silent on the shooting of an elderly pro-life volunteer in the back while peacefully exercising her First Amendment rights. Instead of backing nonprofits that offer women and families life-affirming support, pro-abortion extremists like Whitmer are ‘fighting like hell’ to impose abortion on demand until birth, paid for by taxpayers, as the ‘solution’ to every problem in society from the pandemic to the economy. Their radical agenda is repellent and deeply out of step with the people, including in battleground states,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser.
“Across the nation, more than a dozen states including Michigan have laws in effect or coming into effect soon that could save as many as 200,000 lives annually. Michiganders deserve leaders who respect the rule of law and the values of the people. We join Tudor Dixon in calling out Whitmer’s lies and extremism, especially her refusal to condemn the shocking case of pro-abortion violence in Lake Odessa, and we urge Michigan voters to support Dixon for governor.”
In July Whitmer vetoed millions of dollars in funding for abortion alternatives from the state budget. Pro-life organizations and individuals have faced an unprecedented wave of vandalism and violent attacks since the leak of the draft Dobbs Supreme Court decision. In Michigan, a man has been arrested in the shooting of an elderly pro-life volunteer who was canvassing in opposition to a pro-abortion ballot initiative, and a Southfield pregnancy center was vandalized in September.
Previously SBA Pro-Life America launched a six-figure digital ad campaign exposing Whitmer’s abortion extremism. This election cycle, SBA Pro-Life America and its entities plan to spend $78 million to protect life across America.
