Extremist Dems Like Cheri Beasley Push Abortion on Demand Until Birth

Washington, D.C. A North Carolina law that limits late-term abortions after 20 weeks – more than halfway through pregnancy, and a point when science shows unborn children can feel pain – is in effect after being reinstated by a federal judge Wednesday. Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America celebrated in a statement:

“Judge Osteen’s decision is a win for North Carolina women and their unborn children who are now protected from the brutality of very late-term abortion,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser, a North Carolina native. “Science shows unborn children are human beings and can feel the excruciating pain of abortions performed halfway through pregnancy. Like most Americans, North Carolinians reject the extreme status quo that allows for abortion on demand up to the moment of birth in our nation – a policy that puts us in a small, radical club with North Korea and China. As pro-life Americans continue building consensus for protecting every child in the Dobbs era, we rejoice that lives are immediately being saved.”

Since the Dobbs decision, at least a dozen states have taken action to protect life.

Dannenfelser continued, slamming Democrats’ pro-abortion extremism:

“Extremists like Cheri Beasley will stop at nothing to impose abortion on demand until birth nationwide. In contrast to pro-life champions like Ted Budd, she will be a rubber stamp for the radical abortion lobby instead of fighting for the will of North Carolinians. Our pro-life ground team in North Carolina is visiting voters at their homes to expose the Democrats’ deeply out-of-touch agenda.”

Beasley condemned the U.S. Senate’s failure to pass legislation that would expand abortion until the moment of birth and block new and existing pro-life laws in North Carolina and across the country.

The SBA Pro-Life America and Women Speak Out PAC field team has boots on the ground in North Carolina and has visited more than 383,000 homes to educate voters about the candidates’ record on life. This election cycle, SBA and its entities plan to spend $78 million to protect life across America. This includes reaching eight million voters across battleground states – four million directly at their doors – to take back the U.S. House and Senate.

Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is a network of more than one million pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.
