Abortion on Demand Until Birth Destroys Unborn Girls, Hurts & Exploits Mothers
Washington, D.C. – Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America slammed Biden administration today for pushing abortion on demand until birth under the guise of “women’s equality.”
The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services announced today it is taking steps to circumvent the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayers to pay for abortion on demand and abortion-related travel in Democrat-led states with no limits on abortion.
“Abortion is violence against unborn children – at least half the victims being girls – and exploitation of their mothers. Radical Democrats’ hijacking of ‘women’s equality’ to push an agenda of abortion on demand until birth is obscene,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Suffrage pioneers vocally opposed abortion and understood human rights cannot be built on the broken rights and bodies of our children. Today 75% of American women favor commonsense limits on abortion, and pro-life women leaders are working to advance the will of the people and save lives.”
Since the Dobbs decision, more than a dozen states have taken action to protect life, with the potential to save more than 200,000 lives.
Dannenfelser continued, “Long gone are the days when Democrats claimed abortion should be ‘safe, legal and rare.’ Now Biden is using the full force of the government to promote abortion on demand and stick taxpayers with the bill, in violation of federal laws like the Hyde Amendment. The law is clear: our taxpayer dollars cannot be used to pay for abortion on demand or any related costs, including transportation.
“Today’s action is just the latest example of Biden’s abortion extremism. The deceptively named ‘Women’s Health Protection Act’ – legislation backed by Biden and Democrats in Congress – would impose abortion on demand with no limits nationwide and block efforts by elected lawmakers nationwide to enact virtually any protections, even to stop brutal late-term abortions when unborn babies feel pain. The majority of Americans strongly oppose this radical agenda.”
