Handel’s Chief Opponent, Democrat Jon Ossoff, is an Extremist Supported by America’s #1 Abortion Business
Washington, D.C. — The national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced today it has contacted more than 25,000 voters in Georgia’s sixth congressional district with three pieces of hard-hitting voter contact mail. The group previously endorsed former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel in the race.

“Karen Handel is a fearless champion of unborn children and their mothers and the best pick to fill this seat vacated by recently confirmed HHS Secretary Tom Price,” said SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Handel’s chief opponent, Jon Ossoff, is an extremist supported by America’s largest abortion business, Planned Parenthood. He must be defeated at all costs. That’s why we have contacted key voters in Georgia’s sixth district to impress upon them the importance of this race.
“Karen Handel isn’t afraid to take on Planned Parenthood. While working at the Susan G. Komen Foundation, she was instrumental in exposing the abortion giant’s deception and failure to provide mammograms. We need principled pro-life leaders like Karen in Congress to fight for women and children and get American taxpayers out of the abortion business.”
Karen Handel was Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Sonny Perdue before being elected as Georgia’s first female Secretary of State in 2006. She is the former Vice President of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the author of the book Planned Bullyhood: The Truth Behind the Headlines about the Planned Parenthood Funding Battle with Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Handel resigned from her position as Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Senior Vice President of Public Policy after the organization reversed its decision to end grants to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is America’s largest abortion provider and does not provide mammograms.
