House & Senate Hearings Reveal Dems Push for Abortion on Demand Until Birth Nationwide Defying the Will of the People

Washington, D.C. – In reaction to the historic Dobbs decision that gave the people the right to find consensus on abortion policy through their elected representatives, Democrats in Congress have scheduled five hearings in the next week to push their radical pro-abortion agenda:

• Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing at 10:00 AM ET, and the House Rules Committee will also be meeting at 12:00 PM ET on the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act and other abortion-related bills such as the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act of 2022.
• On Wednesday, at 9:30 AM ET the House Committee on Oversight and Reform will be hosting a hearing, and at 10:00 AM ET the Senate HELP Committee will hold their hearing.
• On Thursday at 10:00 AM ET the House Judiciary Committee will be hosting a hearing.
• Next Tuesday, at 10:30 AM ET the House Committee on Energy and Commerce will host a hearing. 

The hearings come after President Biden announced executive action in support of abortion on demand until the moment of birth. New polling post-Dobbs finds that only 10% of American voters support this agenda.

SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser slammed pro-abortion Democrats’ agenda in a statement:

“In this new Dobbs era, desperate pro-abortion Democrats will stop at nothing to impose abortion on demand until birth nationwide. Americans overwhelmingly reject abortion extremism, and already more than a dozen states have swiftly implemented life-saving protections for unborn children and their mothers. Yet radical Democrats are spreading fear and lies about the Dobbs decision to push an extreme abortion agenda – including the deceptively named Women’s Health Protection Act, which would enshrine a virtually unlimited ‘right’ to abortion in federal law and block new and existing pro-life laws, and expanding dangerous mail-order abortion drugs. Also on their wish list are eliminating the Senate filibuster, increasing the size of the Supreme Court, ‘cracking down’ on pro-life pregnancy centers, and even putting abortionists in tents in national parks.

“Abortion is not health care. We urge our pro-life allies in the House and Senate to continue standing strong against the Biden-Schumer abortion agenda.”
