Washington, D.C. – On Friday, January 22nd at 8:30 am, Family Research Council, located at 801 G Street, NW, will host Blogs for Life, the fifth annual conference of pro-life bloggers and online social media activists.
The conference will feature prominent pro-life leaders including Tony Perkins, Jill Stanek, Marjorie Dannenfelser and Charmaine Yoest, Ph.D., all speaking with bloggers live from Family Research Council’s headquarters. Speakers will discuss opportunities for the pro-life movement as recent polls show a growing majority of Americans identify themselves as pro-life. Pro-life leaders will also lay out strategies to advance the pro-life message in the face of a hostile Congress and White House.
Blogs for Life is scheduled to take place the day of the 37th annual March for Life, during which hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates gather in the nation’s capitol to celebrate life and demand the reversal of the 1973 Roe v. Wade decison legalizing abortion, which has led to an estimated 46 million unborn deaths.
Blogs for Life is an opportunity for individuals and organizations to network with pro-life bloggers and online activists and to grow in their knowledge of how the Web can be used strategically to promote life.
The event will also Webcast live on www.frc.org, providing an opportunity for pro-life bloggers and blog readers to participate in the March, even if they cannot travel to
Washington, D.C.
