SBA List: Doug Jones Proves He’s a Pro-Abortion Extremist
Jones votes to fund abortion giant Planned Parenthood, adding to his vote in favor of late-term abortion
Washington, D.C. – This afternoon Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) voted against an amendment offered by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) to the Labor, Health and Human Services Appropriations bill that would stop taxpayer funding from going to abortion providers like Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion business. In response the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) released the following statement:
“Senator Doug Jones proved again today that he is no moderate when it comes to abortion, voting to send taxpayer dollars to abortion giant Planned Parenthood,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of Susan B. Anthony List. “Earlier this year, Senator Jones voted in favor of late-term abortions on babies capable of feeling pain at five months of development. Senator Jones is no moderate, he’s an abortion extremist.”
Susan B. Anthony List and its partner super PAC, Women Speak Out spent more than $18 million in the 2016 election cycle, visiting more than 1.1 million homes in battleground states to defeat Hillary Clinton and maintain a pro-life Senate. SBA List is dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women. SBA List is a network of more than 630,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
