Since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, elected representatives across the country have passed laws that protect unborn children and recognize the humanity of life in the womb. These laws are already saving lives — but abortion activists are working to overturn them.
Laws protecting life vary widely by state. Some protect children at conception, others at a heartbeat, or by 12 or 15 weeks.
Explore the map to see where protections exist — and what may be at stake in your state.

States with laws shielding abortionists from being held accountable by pro-life laws in other states
Following the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill, which prohibited Medicaid funding to Big Abortion, abortion facilities across the country are closing. Planned Parenthood, which leads Big Abortion, is experiencing many closures as taxpayer funding dries up and their crumbling infrastructure fails to keep pace with real health care providers. Click a location on the map to learn more. Click here to learn more about each of the closed Planned Parenthood locations.

Every number represents a child’s life. These laws not only save lives but also reflect the deeply held values of millions of Americans who believe unborn babies deserve legal protection.
Polling consistently shows that Americans reject unlimited abortion:
69% of Americans oppose abortion after the first three months of pregnancy.
Only 10% of voters support the Democratic Party’s position of abortion until birth.
Most voters believe laws should protect children and support moms — not abortion on demand.
By 12 weeks, an unborn child has a beating heart, developing organs, and can respond to touch. These aren’t opinions—they’re medically documented milestones.
Charlotte Lozier Institute, SBA’s research and policy partner, provides medically reviewed, nonpartisan resources trusted by lawmakers and professionals nationwide.
