Pro-Life Ground Team Plans to Visit the Homes of 325,000+ NV Voters
Washington, D.C. – In response to an executive order issued by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak, in which he joined other Democratic governors in seeking to make his state a “sanctuary” for abortion on demand, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America issued the following statement:
“Governor Sisolak’s pro-abortion extremism is shameful and out of touch with the people of Nevada,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Decades of scientific and medical advances prove unborn children are living human beings, with beating hearts by six weeks, unique fingerprints forming by 10 weeks, and the ability to feel pain by 15 weeks. In the Dobbs decision, the Supreme Court rightly returned the power to protect unborn children and mothers to the people. Nevada voters support commonsense limits on abortion – yet radical Democrats like Sisolak and Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto want to keep imposing abortion on demand for virtually any reason up to the moment of birth.
“Nevadans and all Americans now have the chance to modernize extreme laws that make our country one of a handful of nations, along with China and North Korea, that allow late-term abortion on demand after unborn children feel pain. Our ground team is working to educate Nevada voters about the Democrats’ extremism and the importance of making their voices heard at the ballot box.”
Recent polling finds that a strong majority of voters in key battleground states, including Nevada, reject abortion on demand until the moment of birth:
- By a 20-point margin, voters preferred a Republican candidate who supports a limit on abortion after 15 weeks, a point when unborn children can feel pain, over a Democrat candidate who supports unlimited abortion throughout pregnancy.
- By an 18-point margin, voters preferred a Republican candidate who supports a limit when the unborn child’s heartbeat can be detected, approximately six weeks, over a Democrat candidate who supports unlimited abortion throughout pregnancy.
SBA Pro-Life America and its partner, Women Speak Out PAC, have boots on the ground in Nevada and plan to visit over 325,000 homes to educate voters about the candidates’ record on life. This election cycle, SBA Pro-Life America and its entities plan to spend $78 million to protect life across America. This includes reaching eight million voters across battleground states – four million directly at their doors – to take back the U.S. House and Senate.
