Pro-life Ground Campaign Expands to Kansas Senate Race

Women Speak Out PAC & Campaign for American Values PAC Move to Expose Orman’s Abortion Extremism

Washington, D.C – Today Women Speak Out PAC, a partner of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), and Gary Bauer’s Campaign for American Values PAC announced expansion of their 2014 campaign to Kansas. The groups, which have already opened 14 field offices and knocked on more 274,000 doors across Arkansas, Louisiana, and North Carolina, will hire additional field staff in Kansas to expose Greg Orman’s extreme positions on abortion.

“Greg Orman says he is an independent, but he’s made it clear that he will side with the abortion lobby if he gets to Washington,” said Women Speak Out PAC President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Kansas voters deserve to know about Greg Orman’s refusal to support even modest pro-life proposals, including stopping abortion after five months – more than halfway through pregnancy and the point at which the unborn child feels excruciating pain. This compassionate, popular legislation is supported by a majority of Americans – women in higher numbers than men.”

Five field directors have been hired to oversee the operation, concentrating in Johnson and Sedgwick counties.

“In the weeks remaining, the team will expand to Kansas, where they will be reaching out to dedicated pro-life voters as well as those who don’t typically vote in non-presidential elections,” said Gary Bauer, president of Campaign for American Values PAC. “Our efforts to turn out pro-life voters could make the difference in this race.”

This week Greg Orman refused to answer The Weekly Standard when asked if he would support either the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act or the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, two pieces of legislation currently awaiting a vote in the U.S. Senate.

The existing field operation includes 16 field offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Mandeville, Shreveport, and Monroe, Louisiana; Springdale, Little Rock, and Searcy, Arkansas; and Bakersville, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington, North Carolina.

The Susan B. Anthony List and its Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, are dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women.  The SBA List is a network of more than 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
