Washington, D.C – Former vice presidential candidate and conservative star Congressman Paul Ryan (WI-01) will keynote the Susan B. Anthony List’s sixth annual Campaign for Life Gala on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Washington, D.C., the group announced today.

“I’m honored to give the keynote address at the Susan B. Anthony List Gala. The SBA List and its 365,000 members across the country are leading the charge to protect life at all stages,” said Congressman Paul Ryan. “I am committed to working with the SBA List and all Americans to defend the dignity of every human life and protect the freedom of conscience and religion. Elected leaders must fight in behalf of society’s most vulnerable, and I thank the SBA List for providing a voice for the voiceless.”

“Not only does Congressman Ryan have a pristine pro-life voting record, he has proved himself to be one of the best communicators we have in the fight to defend Life. In Washington and across the country, he has repeatedly explained the pro-life position with clarity, compassion, and thoughtfulness,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List.  “Congressman Ryan respects the dignity of all human life and is committed to protecting women and unborn children, as well as our conscience rights and religious freedoms. We are honored to have this principled leader speak at this year’s Campaign for Life Gala.”

Previous Campaign for Life Gala keynote speakers include Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Hon. Mike Pence (R-IN), Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-MN), Sen. Fred Thompson (R-TN), and Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA).

The Susan B. Anthony List, and its affiliated Political Action Committees, the SBA List Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC, are dedicated to pursuing policies and electing candidates who will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List emphasizes the education, promotion, mobilization, and election of pro-life women.  The SBA List is a network of more than 365,000 pro-life Americans nationwide.
