WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today the Susan B. Anthony List announced its endorsement of Sean Duffy, candidate for Wisconsin’s 7th congressional district against Julie Lassa.
“Sean Duffy is the better candidate for women and all Wisconsin families,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “The contrast between he and Julie Lassa is clear. Sean Duffy has spent his career protecting Wisconsin families in the courtroom and will continue to do so on the floor of Congress. Julie Lassa, has been backed by the abortion lobby and would be its advocate in the fight for taxpayer funding of abortion. EMILY’s List and Planned Parenthood have made this race a high priority because they know what is at stake if Sean Duffy wins.”
Duffy’s life of public service began ten years ago in the role of Ashland County Special Prosecutor. He currently serves as Ashland County District Prosecutor and has earned a 90 percent trial success rate aggressively investigating and prosecuting internet child sex crimes. Duffy has been endorsed by Wisconsin Right to Life.
Lassa has been endorsed by EMILY’s List, a political organization committed to electing women candidates who support abortion rights, and hailed a “pro-choice leader” for her time in the Wisconsin State Senate by the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (NARAL) Pro-Choice Wisconsin.
The Susan B. Anthony List plans to spend $6 million on voter education in the midterm elections, including $3 million on key Senate races. The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of over 280,000 Americans, residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics. Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.
