Six-Figure Radio, Digital, Activist Call Campaign Urges Sen. Manchin to Stand Firm
Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced a $200,000 campaign to thank U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) for standing up for pro-life West Virginia values by opposing the removal of the legislative filibuster in the Senate. The campaign includes radio ads, digital ads, and a grassroots phone call campaign. Removing the filibuster in the Senate would pave the way for Congressional Democrats to pass an extreme pro-abortion agenda, such as expanding the size of the Supreme Court and forcing taxpayer-funded abortion on-demand.

VO: “The radical liberals in Washington have an extreme agenda…the Senate filibuster is the only thing standing between us and the pro-abortion agenda of the Washington Liberals. Thankfully, Senator Joe Manchin is standing strong for life… and protecting the filibuster and the Supreme Court from abortion extremists.”
“The pro-abortion extremists now controlling Washington want to eliminate the legislative filibuster so they can force taxpayer-funded abortions and expand the size of the Supreme Court, filling it with pro-abortion justices,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Senator Joe Manchin, who represents the overwhelmingly pro-life state of West Virginia, has been the voice of reason in his party, urging preservation of the filibuster. We thank him for his leadership and are mobilizing in West Virginia to ensure his constituents can thank him and encourage him to stand strong for their values.”
In 2018, West Virginians voted for a pro-life amendment to their Constitution. SBA List’s West Virginia Field Team was active on the ground, visiting more than 110,000 voters in the Mountain State urging them to vote YES on Amendment 1.
