“New” Plan to Force Doctors to Commit Abortions, Expand Dangerous Abortion Drugs, Spread Misinformation

Washington, D.C. – The Biden-Harris White House today announced a three-fold plan to promote abortion on demand until birth nationwide. The plan includes:

• Compiling research on alleged medical and socioeconomic harms to women who are unable to obtain abortions.
• Litigation strategy, including suing states like Idaho to invalidate pro-life protections and attempting to block state-level safeguards against dangerous mail-order abortion drugs.
• Pro-abortion messaging targeted toward men and people of faith.

This plan comes on the heels of President Biden signing an executive order that forces taxpayers to fund abortion on demand until birth, including through Medicaid, which violates the longstanding Hyde Amendment.

SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser slammed the administration’s pro-abortion extremism, saying:

“The Biden-Harris White House’s ‘new’ strategy is the radical agenda pro-abortion Democrats have been pushing for years, now at fever pitch post-Dobbs. They will stop at nothing to impose abortion on demand until birth, paid for by the taxpayer, without limits nationwide. Using the heavy hand of the federal government, they will coerce medical professionals to kill their smallest patients and will expand the flow of dangerous abortion drugs, even into states that have enacted safeguards for women and unborn children. Abortion is not health care – it destroys unborn life and wounds women. Democrats who think their pro-abortion extremism is a political winner should think again – their agenda continues to be deeply unpopular.”

Countering misinformation about pro-life policies, Dannenfelser continued:

“Every pro-life state law protects life-saving treatment for pregnant mothers. In addition, women in difficult circumstances deserve to know abortion is not their only option. Nearly 3,000 pregnancy centers around the country stand ready to lovingly provide medical, material and emotional support for them and their families. Voters across the board overwhelmingly support these nonprofits and Democrats ought to stand with them, not attack them.”
