Washington, D.C. – Today Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund announced its endorsement of State Senator Dan Bishop for U.S. House of Representatives in North Carolina’s 9th District.
“We are proud to stand behind Dan Bishop in his run for Congress,” said SBA President Marjorie Dannenfelser, a North Carolina native. “Dan has always fought for the unborn and worked to uphold the values of North Carolina families, including championing lifesaving legislation to stop late-term abortions and protect babies who survive abortions. At a time when Democratic Party leaders are so radical, they even embrace infanticide, Dan Bishop is the strong pro-life advocate North Carolinians need to stand up to extremism in Washington.”
Dan Bishop was born and raised in NC-09. He served as an attorney in the private sector before serving in the legislature. In his time as state Senator, Bishop sponsored several pro-life laws such as the Women and Children’s Protection Act, the Born-Alive Survivors Protection Act, and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. He lives with his wife Jo and their son, Jack.
