Pro-life Congresswoman Seeks Fourth Term
Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its endorsement of Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler for re-election in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District.
“Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler has been a steadfast pro-life ally in Congress,” said former congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, SBA List’s Vice President of Government Affairs. “Rep. Herrera Beutler has worked diligently to advance protections for unborn children and their mothers, including legislation to stop late-term abortions after five months of pregnancy. She is also a courageous mom who refused to give up on her daughter Abigail in the face of a rare, usually fatal condition. Abigail received lifesaving treatment and is a beautiful, happy little girl today. We are deeply inspired by Rep. Herrera Beutler’s personal and public pro-life witness and are proud to endorse her for re-election.”
Herrera Beutler has represented Washington’s 3rd District in Congress since 2011. Previously she served in the state legislature representing the 18th Legislative District. She has been named one of Time Magazine’s “40 Under 40.”
Herrera Beutler is a co-sponsor of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. She co-founded the bipartisan Congressional Caucus on Maternity Care, an effort to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing American mothers. She and her husband Daniel, their daughter Abigail, and son Ethan live in Battle Ground, Washington.
