Bredesen is radically pro-abortion, supports taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood
Washington, D.C. – Today the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) announced its field team of 50 canvassers has visited 30,000 Tennessee voters to elect Congressman Marsha Blackburn to the U.S. Senate and defeat Phil Bredesen. Additionally, SBA List has reached 169,984 voters through digital ads and raised $38,412 in bundled contributions for Blackburn’s campaign.
“Pro-abortion Phil Bredesen is out of step with the people of Tennessee,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “SBA List’s field team has visited 30,000 Tennessee voters who don’t consistently get to the polls, educating them about Phil Bredesen’s extreme record. They are appalled that Bredesen supports taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion business, and has even advocated for taxpayer funding of abortion in cases where the unborn child is diagnosed with Down syndrome. Tennesseans deserve a senator who will fearlessly stand up for their values – that’s why our team is working hard to elect Marsha Blackburn, and we look forward to her victory.”
Last week SBA List’s Facebook ad campaign supporting Marsha Blackburn was suspended. After pro-life outrage, Facebook apologized and said the ad should never have been taken down.
SBA List’s field team of more than 1,100 canvassers visited 2.7 million voters this election cycle across the battleground states of Tennessee, Arizona, North Dakota, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, Florida, Ohio, and West Virginia.
