North Carolina is both a presidential battleground state and has a competitive Gubernatorial race. On the presidential front, Trump narrowly carried the state by just over 1% in 2020. It will again be competitive in 2024. It is currently ranked “Leans Republican” at the presidential level.
On the Gubernatorial front, Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper is term-limited, opening up the seat. Democrats have nominated radical pro-abortion AG Josh Stein as its Gubernatorial candidate, while Republicans have nominated pro-life Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson. As Attorney General, Josh Stein refused to do his job and defend North Carolina’s pro-life laws as they came under attack by extremist pro-abortion groups. This race is extremely competitive and is ranked as a “toss up.”
